Honoring History with An Upgraded Flagship Location

For the team at Members First Credit Union, convenience is key. They provide important resources and personalized financial guidance to residents across the Greater Manchester Area. When our friends at Sullivan Construction set out to build a brand new headquarters facility for the historic credit union, they asked us to partner with them—based on the standards we set together during the renovation of another Members First branch.

The design and construction team switched gears to this exciting project immediately after the completion of the Members First Union Street branch. With that brand new location top of mind, we utilized the established brand standards that guided the Union Street project to inform our design concepts for the credit union’s headquarters. Now located at the corner of Elm and Salmon Streets, the new 16,100 square foot brick-facade building is historically sensitive to the surrounding architecture of Manchester’s North End.

Working closely with the Members First team, Sullivan Construction and Maugel DeStefano Architects, our interior designers created the interior space plans to maximize work efficiencies. In the 2nd floor break room, we also took advantage of the beautiful corner windows to create a sleek, café-like atmosphere, finished with marble-inspired flooring, dynamic wallcovering, classic millwork elements, and brightly colored lights. Throughout the office, photos of the Manchester area decorate the walls, along with color graphics that represent the credit union’s history and vision.
